Most of you know I am building my business on giving back to the communities I serve. So far this year, we’ve raised over $7,000 for different charities through our “Best Body Challenges” and our very successful “Pushups For Charity” event.

I want to finish the year off with a bang, and I need your help to make it happen!

Give what really matters

Here’s how you can help:

  • Get your booty out to boot camp! Saturday mornings are a blast in Vasona Park, and I’ll have a big barrel out there where you can drop your food donations.
  • Bring your neighbors, friends, family, and even kiddos over 12 for a fun workout in the park!
  • Send your friends, family, and coworkers the link to this page so they can read all about it!
  • Download the flyer and put it in your office, give it to friends, or hang it in a community area you frequent. Lets get the word out and make this a successful food drive, not to mention help you keep your weight in check over the holiday season!

In our Boot Camps you will do things that you have never done before!

We will be doing many unconventional exercises with the goal of fun, health, and community building. You will get a chance to work on cardio endurance, strength training, agility, and core building. Our creative exercises will tone up the

Where are the free Be Fit Boot Camps workouts taking place?

Vasona Park. You will want to park on University Ave at Pepper Tree Lane (near Casa Vasona Apartments). Walk into the park (on Pepper Tree Lane), and down the road about 100 yards. After about 50 yards, you’ll see a big parking lot, and the boat launch to your left, as well as the lake! We meet in the parking lot near the boat launch.

What time?

8:30-9:30am. We will meet at 8:30 for registration, and will get started shortly after. Plan on about 50 minutes for your workout.

What should I bring to the FREE Vasona Park Saturday Boot Camp workout?

  • If you have a yoga mat (or even better…a THICK mat), bring it. If not, a towel will work.
  • Bring water
  • Layer your clothes. You might start out with all your layers on, but you’ll warm up quick!
  • If you have gloves to protect your hands from the concrete (when we hold planks and such), bring those. If you don’t have any or forget them, it’s not a big deal. : )
  • Also…for our Saturday workouts, you DO NOT need to bring weights. We will take care of all equipment for you (except your mat)

What types of food should I bring for the food drive?

Second Harvest Food Bank has ALL the juicy details on their website, so please check it out here!

The Food Bank needs nutritious, non-perishable foods:

  • Meals in a can (stew, chili, soup)
  • Tuna and canned meat
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned foods with pop-top lids
  • Low-sugar cereals
  • 100% fruit juices in single serving boxes
  • Canned fruit packed in juice
  • Canned vegetables (low salt)

Please avoid donating items packaged in glass. If you find glass items in your barrel, please package them in protective boxes to prevent breakage.

We request that you do not donate bulk quantities of rice, flour, or sugar. Although we appreciate and can utilize every donation we receive, the Food Bank does not have the repackaging facilities needed to properly distribute such items. Please contact the Donor Hotline at 1-866-234-3663 for details.

What if I want to come out to all the FREE Training Sessions. Do I have to bring a few cans of food to every workout?

Ideally, if you know you want to make it out to all the sessions, I would encourage you bring a grocery bag full of goodies and that will count for all your training sessions.

The word “Boot Camp” scares the ba-gee-zees outta me. Is this some sort of crazy, yell in my face workout?

Will you please scroll to the top of this page and look at my picture. Do I look like drill sergeant? I, along with my team, are degreed and certified personal trainers who know how to put together a GREAT (and safe) WORKOUT that will get you results! We SPECIALIZE in taking completely brand new exercisers, making them feel comfortable, modifying the exercises as needed, and then over time, turning them into athletes. (Yes…you heard me right - Lean, Mean, Athletic Fighting Machines!)

Don’t be intimidated. We will honor and respect where you are in your fitness journey (whether it’s high or low), and encourage you along your path. We REALLY REALLY REALLY just want to see you succeed, reach all your goals, and live the fit and healthy body that you SO rightfully deserve.

If you have additional questions, please check out our main bootcamp website www.BeFitBootcamps.com, or call the office at 408-356-5716 and we will be glad to answer your questions.
