I started my day off with an invigorating workout!
This workout rocked!
3’s,6’s,9’s:
Here’s how it works. You do 10 set through of:
3 Pushups
6 Burpies
9 Lunge Jumps
It sounds easy enough, but it gets hard! In between each 3-6-9, do a set of high intensity cardio. If you are home, skip rope between each set. If you are at a track, sprint a lap around. If you are near a hill or stairs (like we were this morning), go up as fast as you can. Kathleen had us doing everything from sprints to stairs to jump roping between the sets. My heart rate was HIGH and the workout was awesome.
This blog isn’t necessarily trying to promote my Bootcamp program, but damn…it was awesome this morning! If you haven’t tried it out yet…you don’t know what your missing!
MY DAY
I have to say I’m proud of myself. For starting this week off totally unprepared, I feel like I’m making good choices (despite the fact I’m spending way too much money at whole foods every day!).
I even had to deal with a room full of elite personal trainers about to have a PIG-OUT-FEST on a huge Christmas basket of goodies. It was pretty funny. (Mind you…none of them are pigs and ALL of them are in amazing shape…it was just so funny I had to get video!)
The headache was only very mild today and my energy was great (probably because of Bootcamp this morning!)
Food for the Day:
Pre/Post workout: One container Muscle Milk
Breakfast: Oatmeal w/ prunes, flax, and 1 egg and 1 egg white, green tea
Snack: Apple and almond butter
Lunch: salad greens mixed with pre-made from whole foods: curried chicken and broccoli crunch (side note on these pre-made foods…they are made with what I think is a lot of sugar and a lot of mayonnaise…they’re not the best choice I could have made…but probably not the worst either) 2 tangerines (Miguel bought a huge box of these things! They are in season right now and very yummy!) green tea
Snack: one black bean veggie burger topped with 1/8 avocado and salsa.
Dinner: Homemade Turkey chili! (I finally pulled it out from the freezer! I’ll have it posted up on the recipe blog soon because it’s a great recipe. Jam-packed with tons of veggies, lean protein, and great flavor.)
This chili is so hearty and delicious!
Looking forward to another great day tomorrow.
