Holistic Nutrition
Holistic Nutrition is what I’m all about.
If you’re looking for a quick fix, or a way to count calories or points, so that you may “cheat” with plastic junk food that comes wrapped up with a bar code (but hey…it only has 3 points, right?), then you are looking in the wrong place. Please go elsewhere so you can keep lying to yourself about what it really means to take care of yourself and eat healthfully. But if you are truly sick of the all the propaganda and bologna (sorry, couldn’t help myself), then please read on.
I teach Healthy Cooking and Nutrition Seminars.
This is a fabulous way to learn more about how you can use food to literally heal your body. I teach a variety of different topics including the most popular series: The many reasons for weight loss resistance and how to over come it.
Interested in a Holistic Detox Program?
Detoxing has become all the rage. The importance of occasionally resting and healing your digestive system can not be stressed more. As part of the 2nd phase of the Healthy, Happy, Slim, & Sexy Weight Loss Coaching Program, you’ll go through a 28-day Holistic Detox that focuses on cleansing your body from the inside out.
Understanding Nutrition on a Holistic level has become the cornerstone of my work with clients.
Over the past decade or so, I have worked in the fitness and wellness arena and have been so discouraged by watching well-meaning clients give it all to a fitness program, yet never see changes to their body. When they blame it on me (although they rarely do, as I teach ALL my clients about taking personal responsibility first), I remind them that they train with me about an hour a day 2 or 3 times a week. I’m curious…what are they doing the other 165-166 HOURS OF THE WEEK? They (and you) are absolutely insane if you think that 2-3 hours a week in the gym are going to get you to your health and wellness goals. That idea, which is held my many personal trainers and clients alike, is so one-dimensional, so archaic, so absolutely preposterous, it makes my blood boil just sitting here writing it.
I finally got upset enough to put myself through a year long program that certifies me by the state of California as a Nutrition Educator. This has been a great start, but it still doesn’t feel like enough. Therefore, I also am in the middle of studying my brains out (goodbye weekends!) to obtain my Masters Degree in Nutrition. That’s how serious about helping my clients truly understand that food is a drug. It literally can heal you or destroy you. And not just the food you chose, but also how you chose to eat it (in a car?), who you chose to eat it with (toxic relationships?) and how mindful and conscious you are while eating it (standing in front of the fridge?)
